At the trial at the beginning of the anime, private investigator Higeoyaji is angry at Skunk Kusai's acquittal. In the manga, Higeoyaji, also known as Ban Shunsaku, works as both a teacher at Ochanomizu Elementary School and a private investigator. Higeoyaji, who was thought to have died after being attacked by Skunk Kusai, disguises himself as a cleaning woman and infiltrates the gang's hideout. But in the anime version, he works as a private investigator and is not depicted as a teacher, so he infiltrates the gang as Kelly, the machine gun of Skunk.
The creator of the Denkou does not appear in the manga.
In the anime, Dr. Yabuhebi, Denkou's creator, is played by Dr. Haido from "Robot Land."
