Tobio's birthday in the manga was vague, but the Tetsuwan Atom Club (March 1965) gave two dates: 2003 (a year after his accident) and April 1, 2014. The Shonen magazine's November 1966 special edition lists April 7, 2003. However, the anime's first episode shows Tobio's transfer certificate as April 1, 2001, suggesting a 2000 birth year.
